Years ago, back in the day when I used to read magazines, (You remember those? Yeah, they had great pictures and articles, printed on glossy paper, with pages you could turn. Ahhh, those were the days!) I would use them as my inspiration file. The pre-cursor to Pinterest!
Used this old tube of wallpaper 'seam' adhesive to glue the branches into the styrofoam. Yeah, I know... |
Inserted the branches in a styrofoam ball that I had in the basement from a project gone wrong. |
Anyway, once I was done reading a magazine I would pull out articles or pictures of stuff that really inspired me. Even had them all filed neatly away in my filing cabinet. Only problem is that I forgot about them!
Added pendant crystals, hung by clear necklace 'wire' |
In this past month, as we were moving things out of our bedroom to install hardwood, I cleaned out said file cabinets and guess what I found? A file full of eye candy! Yeah most of it was vintage but one article I ran into was timeless and pretty cool so I decided to replicate it. I call it my crystal tree.
Added dried moss to cover base. |
