Pin It I don't know about you but I love a good picture frame. I always gravitate towards them at Goodwill or garage sales. Can't help myself really. The problem is what do you do with them? Check out some of these great projects on my Board at Hometalk. So when Hometalk asked me to curate a collection about repurposed picture frames, I started doing some research. Much to my surprise I found a TON of great ideas out there for picture frame projects. Pin It Gotcha, sounds Christmasy doesn't it? Formerly a bowling ball, this lady bug captured by heart! Summer is garden tour season and one of my favorite summer activities. I love wandering through people's gardens and getting a small glimpse into their lives. My reactions are many from "mine looks better than this" to inspirational to flat out, dare I admit this, e.n.v.y.  Loved this simple little path up to the bird bath.  Love gazebos. Enough said.  Simple but cute way to decorate a garden shed.  One of my favorites! For me the most impressive gardens are those that repurpose materials and use them in unique ways. I just love this and it always gets my wheels turning. Love using mirrors in a garden and these are simply gorgeous. Notice to the far left the old door that was used as a divider. Pin It Amidst all the craziness that summer brings, I was able to whip out this cute little Garden sign from extra piece of wood and finally got my water fountain for my birthday. So exciting! Sign made from leftover wood I now have my 'happy place' that I sit at in the mornings...the mornings I am not driving to work that is. Love, love, love it! Peaceful and cool and relaxing. A great place to have my morning coffee and read my Bible. Neat glass garden sculpture made from yard sale finds and created by my sister. Garden fountain made with a pot, river rocks, and the fountain plumbing. God is good! Pin It There is nothing I like better than easy cooking. For this family of five, with three young men that have big appetites, easy cooking works well because as my 16 year old says "I have come to the conclusion with food that it is quantity over quality." Shrimp and scallops, sauteing with onion, fresh basil, and lots of garlic. Oh and I threw some leftover broccoli from the other nig ht. However, even though cooking is not my favorite thing, over the years I have begun to appreciate the value of the quality like fresh herbs vs. dried, fresh lemon vs. store bought lemon in a jar... Yeah, you get the picture. Add the milk and let it bubble on low. But at the end of the day, I would rather be painting a piece of furniture or out in my garden vs. spending time in the kitchen cooking. So I stick to easy recipes that still have the quality, oh and of course, quantity as well! Probably my signature would be a "Breakin' the Rules" type cooking. I...

Pin It My dining room, as with all my rooms, are ever changing and have gone through multiple transitions. I only wish I had been taking pictures back when we first moved in because you would not believe what it was like! Looking in from the living room. The dining room is rather small with two doorways, side by side, that go to different rooms. Crazy. Pin It What can I say about rocks? Actually I could say a lot but for now, rocks are a landscapers friend! This beautiful gate came from a church attic and a friend surprised me with it as a thank you for all my work painting theatre sets! Let me tell you it is never going anywhere. It weighs a ton! Yup, you read right. Free! I am all over it. I love to decorate the outside just as much as the inside and I especially love to find great stuff to use in my landscaping that is free. Really, if you get the right mindset it is quite easy. You just have to think outside the box. Bricks are everywhere and these came from my sister's inlaws. Old windows are great to use outside and in this case, are curbside finds. Keep your eyes peeled and your mind open and you will find a great variety of things that are fun to use in your landscaping. Really the sky is the limit!  Rocks are free if you keep your eyes open.
